Under the conservation and restoration programme, started in 2006, much of Glasnevin Cemetery has been transformed from a neglected, shabby, dark and dismal place back to its' former pristine condition of a Victorian Garden Cemetery, as it was originally designed "A garden in which our loved ones are interred". In order to preserve the integrity, character, beauty and ambience of our restored garden cemetery, it is the policy of the cemetery that monuments erected on graves in the cemeteries conservation area from the Prospect Gate to the AH walk be of a similar style and material of monuments adjacent, that is, if you count five monuments to the left or right of your grave and select a monument of your liking of similar size and material.

Glasnevin Trust Monument Works has been in Business for over 40 years and now boasts Sales Offices in Dardistown, Palmerstown, Glasnevin and Newlands Cross Cemeteries. Newlands Cross is also home to the Glasnevin Trust Monuments Workshop.
