This Culture Night, you will have the opportunity to participate in a complimentary mini tour of Glasnevin Cemetery. These tours will give you a sample of what to expect from a full General History Tour which features a plethora of figures from Irish history and their incredible stories. On Culture Night, you will gain admission to the ornate crypt of Daniel O'Connell, legendary statesman and founder of the cemetery. The crypt and the entire tower which stands on top of it have been restored by Glasnevin Trust.
For those among you who are keen to uncover more about your family history then there will be a genealogy workshop on Culture Night also. This event will be facilitated by our Resident Genealogist, Lynn Brady.
All events are free to attend however, booking in essential.
Culture Night is Friday, September 20th.
Tours will run at: 4:00pm, 4:45pm, 6:00pm and 6;45pm.
The workshop will begin at 7:00pm.
