Our educational programmes are not just aimed at school and college students: throughout the year Glasnevin Cemetery Museum presents a wide range of other activities for learners of all ages, including:
Lectures (see our Winter lecture series, announced in the New Year)
Specialist tours to match your groups' needs
Family history research
Tour-Guiding programme for Adult Groups
Visit Glasnevin Cemetery Museum over two days and explore the skills of a tour guide. Here you will work closely with one of our experienced tour guides to learn the importance of tourism to the economy, the golden rules of customer service and how to engage your visitors in the past! Participants will develop the skills of research, writing and public speaking, while exploring the history of 19th and 20th century Ireland. The first visit is the training portion of the programme, and on the second visit each participant steps into the shoes of the tour guide and performs, informs and entertains.
