Welcome to Glasnevin Cemetery Museum

In August 1915, Pádraig Pearse gave a speech at the funeral of Jeremiah O'Donovan-Rossa here at Glasnevin Cemetery.  It would go down in history as one of the most important speeches made in relation to Irish independence.  In it, Pearse declared that 'Ireland unfree, will never be at peace'.  You can relive that moment at 2:30 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday when there is a re-enactment of that very oration.
