International Women's Day Tour
"I should like the words 'alien' and 'foreigner' to be banished from the language." Charlotte Despard.
All around the world, International Women's Day represents an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women while calling for greater equality.
To mark International Women's Day, we are offering a Women's Tour of Glasnevin Cemetery.
Join Glasnevin Tour guide Bridget Sheerin and celebrate the famous women of Glasnevin Cemetery including female rebels, suffragettes, romantics and heroines. Amongst the graves you will visit are Anne Devlin, Countess Markievicz, Charlotte Despard, Margaret Burke Sheridan, Sinéad De Valera and Hanna Sheehy Skeffington.
Tours will be on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th March at 2pm plus on International Women's Day, Wednesday 8th March at 2pm.
