'Eve of Ivy Day' Seminar
Charles Stewart Parnell died on the 6th October 1891. His funeral at Glasnevin Cemetery was one largest seen in Ireland. The 'Ivy Day' commemoration commenced on the first anniversary of Parnell's death and has continued ever since under the auspices of the Parnell Commemoration Committee.
This year, in addition to the traditional oration/wreath laying at the graveside (noon Sunday 6th Oct), an 'Eve of Ivy Day' seminar will be held on the Saturday 5th Oct at the Museum.
