Glasnevin Trust is proud to announce the 3rd annual Collins Griffith Lecture on Sunday the 18th August at 2.30pm in the Prospect Gallery, Glasnevin Cemetery Museum. The speaker at the Lecture will be renowned Historian and Author Thomas Ryle Dwyer.

Tickets cost €10. All moneys raised will go towards the upkeep of historic graves in Glasnevin Cemetery. Glasnevin Trust is a registered charity. CHY 5849.

Michael Collins 16 October 1890 - 22 August 1922) was an Irish revolutionary leader, Minister for Finance and Teachta Dála (TD) for the First Dáil of 1919, Director of Intelligence for the IRA, and member of the Irish delegation during the Anglo-Irish Treaty negotiations. Subsequently, he was both Chairman of the Provisional Government and Commander-in-chief of the National Army. Throughout this time, at least as of 1919, he was also President of the Irish Republican Brotherhood. Collins was shot and killed in August 1922, during the Irish Civil War.

Arthur Griffith 31 March 1872 - 12 August 1922 was an Irish politician and writer, who founded and later led the political party Sinn Féin. He served as President of Dáil Éireann from January to August 1922, and was head of the Irish delegation at the negotiations in London that produced the Anglo-Irish Treaty of 1921, attending with Michael Collins.
