Glasnevin Cemetery Museum is delighted to announce that on Saturday 9th November renowned storyteller Frances Quinn will be hosting a story telling and writing workshop on Countess Markievicz.
Included in your ticket price for that day only is complimentary admission to our General History tour and O’Connell Tower climb. See the final resting place of Countess Markievicz and many others who shaped Irish history. Furthermore, you can marvel at the breathtaking views of Dublin and its surrounding areas at the top of the O’Connell Tower.

Join Frances, as she shares stories of the incredible life and times of Countess Markievicz. You will then have the chance to engage in a discussion about what this iconic figure and other Suffragettes from that era had to face. This will be followed by a creative writing session and the opportunity to share your work. Feedback will then be offered and shared within the group
Frances wrote Armagh Folk Tales which was published by the History Press in 2014 and she made a CD of The Cúchulainn Saga in 2003 and has since performed it in London, in 10 states in the USA and in many venues in Ireland.
She has a teaching and acting background and has performed at the major storytelling festivals in Ireland and to an extensive range of audiences in settings both formal and informal. She has a large repertoire of Irish and multicultural stories as well as original material.
